I am a member of a thriving Allotment community in the London Borough of Barnet [North London]. There are some 50 Allotment sites in the Boro', all of which are under threat of 'privatisation' [...read to sell?] by the Conservative Council to show their skills in recovering the huge Boro' debt [Lost some £27m taxpayers money in Icelandic debacle]. The Boro Councillors refuse to consider alternative strategies. Your Co-op Allotment Society structure is an interesting model. Id be most grateful if you could point me in the direction of any practical advice/guidance in exploring this alternative?
