Co-operative Council

Telford & Wrekin Council has set out to become a “Co-operative Council” to build a new partnership between local people and public services to:

  • Improve and bring together services
  • Involve local people and employees more in planning and running services
  • Encourage people to do more to help their own communities

I am delighted to have been invited to join the Co-operative Commission advising the Council.

One Response to Co-operative Council

  1. Oliver Healey says:

Hello I’m Oliver Healey and I am the National Campaign Organiser for THE ENGLISH NATIONAL WAGE

I started the campaign because of the low wages that workers were receiving in pay for their work even after the National Minimum Wage was introduced. People have for many years campaigned for a hourly rate of £8.75 per hour and so I decided to take on this cause and bring it to the attention of every one in Britain.

Though its titled English National Wage it does cover Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland as well as England. I am only 23 years old but I have been involved in political campaigns for 5 years and wanted to improve the working conditions of my fellow citizens. http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/20357

    Yours Sincerely

    Oliver Healey

    English National Wage Campaign Chairman

Lets get it upto 100,000 signatures and give David Cameron a wake up call
